Graduation Contest Entry #7
We have one son Alex who will graduate from High School in Australia this aged 17. We also have two younger daughters. We elected to send Alex to a Catholic all boys school in Perth where we live and is is keeping with our catholic faith. He has always been reasonable good at school and sport. The school we chose has a huge focus on sport as a way of developing fine young men. The last five years that he has been there for high school have been an incredible journey for all our family as we have seen him grow from a shy boy into a confident young man who is now a prefect at the school. He is surrounded by friends, families and marvelous teachers who have shared and contributed the success of the journey. Alex has acquired amazing skills to prepare him for his move into the broader community as an adult and to be a “Man for others”. As I have said to him on many occasions…”do not be sad it is over but be happy that we were there”.
