Erin is one of my close friends from college. She and Dave make the most perfect couple I think I’ve ever seen, so I was beyond excited to find out they were expecting. They’re going to make such great parents. They love to bike, so when we released our Double Bicycle and Baby Make Three Baby Shower Invitations I knew immediately it was the absolutely perfect theme for Erin’s baby shower ideas.

At Erin’s request, we hosted the shower at her house. A few of the hosts took her to the gym while the rest of us stayed back to decorate and set up. We used the colors from the invitation as our guide for the décor, knowing we wanted something festive for the door and lots of color inside. We saw a tutorial on how to make tissue paper tassel garland at TomKatStudio.com and loved the idea. We made a short one for the door and a longer one to hang inside on the archway.

We incorporated the aqua and red colors from the invitation in a few other spots as well. Aqua napkins wrapped the red utensils. Aqua and red striped address labels (I Do Stripes Address Labels from our wedding collection) topped the cupcakes. And I ordered coordinating Double Bicycle and Baby Make Three Favor Tags to make the beverages more festive.ExtrasErin has such cute taste when it comes to decorating. Her house was a great backdrop for all of our baby shower ideas, and her nursery is going to be just as adorable. She’s not quite finished, and I can’t wait to see the finished product. Here are just a few photos of what she’s planning for the walls of the nursery—like I said, I can’t wait to see it when it’s all done! (I also loved that she framed her wedding rehearsal dinner invitation and hung it out by the dining room table—what a cute idea!)

So excited for Baby W to make his way into this world. My guess is it’s a boy…but we’ll have to wait until the end of February to find out!
