I’m so glad I took photos of our son Alex every month of his first year! It was fun to see him grow. It’s amazing how much they change in a year. When I was on maternity leave I cut out all of the numbers making it a little easier to sew the onsies each month. I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with these photos but knew I wanted them to stay consistent. Sophie, the giraffe always took a part in the photo, which was given to me at my baby shower!
When it came time to order 1st birthday invitations I thought it would be fun to use the photos in some way. I love the layout of our booklets and thought it would be a great keepsake for his first birthday party! Since I am one of the designers at Pear Tree Greetings, I had the opportunity to design the perfect invitation for my little man, as well as something I know our customers would love.
Twelve Months of Photos First Birthday Invitations is now available in our kids birthday invitations collection. This card can be used for any aged birthday – it is fully editable! This booklet is also designed with a monster on the back. You can pick your very own colors of the card, as well as the monster, to match your party colors! I love the playful dots of multiple colors that peek through the inside pages of the booklet. I used the Snapshot Photo Address Label from our Christmas Address Labels, changing the color to match my invite.
I felt the invitation really pulled together with the wording “A little cake a lot of fun our little monster is turning one!” I was also happy to showcase all the photos I took in the booklet.
Alex enjoyed digging into his monster smash cake made by one of my co-workers, although he was more careful about it than we hoped he would be.
We ended the first birthday celebration by sending First Big Party Thank You Cards to all of our guests. I wanted to make sure Alex put his personal touch on the thank you notes as well, stamping his little hand on the inside of the card!
