We found this mom, JoAnna, on Instagram when she tagged us in her post sharing that she was excited for her son’s upcoming 2nd birthday party. We loved the Li’l Farmer Twine Package Kids Birthday Invitation she had picked out and wanted to hear her story and see how the party turned out. I think you will agree with us when you see her fun and crafty kids birthday party ideas! We love it.
“This was a last minute party planning for me and I searched and searched online and no one had exactly what I was looking for until I saw this farmer set. I jumped right on it for editing and got next business day shipping.” JoAnna personalized each of the three pieces in this invitation set and tied it with the twine to send as a nice package to the guests. (Twine is included with this unique three-piece invitation.)
JoAnna carried out the farm theme by also ordering our matching Li’l Farmer Table Decor Kids Birthday Party Decorations to use as food labels.
As friends joined the party at the McKee Ranch, they were greeted with a sign celebrating Jaxon’s birthday as well as a few decorations JoAnna made. She used a white picket fence, wrote Jaxon’s name with rope and added gingham fabric to make a banner that said Li’l Farmer’. She also wanted to share favorite things of Jaxon’s for the guests to read so she also made a milestone board (reminder – she did say she is crafty :)).
“I wanted it to be like a mini farmers’ market.” She served hearty farm favorites that were listed on the “Farm Food” sign that she also wrote by hand. She also served delicious appetizers for the guests to enjoy, from mini corn dogs to grapes to watermelon candies – she had it covered.
On the snack table, JoAnna wanted to continue the theme. She used the black & white bags (via Michael’s) that she had on hand from prior parties and used stamps from her wedding (via Paper Source) to create these adorable farm-themed bags which were filled with Gardetto’s. The mini easels were also from Michael’s that she re-used from Jaxon’s first birthday. She simply painted the easels white to go with the color scheme.
JoAnna wrapped her gifts to Jaxon with wrapping paper from Dollar Tree and used the same farm stamps from the goodie bags above as added decoration. They used a wagon for guests to put their gifts in to Jaxon – how fitting!
Last, but not least, as parting gifts for the guests, JoAnna made homemade chocolate chip cookies, put them in a black and white bag and sealed them with the matching Li’l Farmer Kids Address Labels.
Jaxon and all his friends enjoyed the birthday party (how could you not?!) and even went on a hayride and got to pet the animals at the ranch. Friends were also able to leave little messages to Jaxon using one of the pieces from the invitation. JoAnna said, “Not everything went as planned but all that mattered was the kids had fun, especially Jaxon. I barely got to see him as he was roaming about the ranch with his guests.”
