At Pear Tree, we’re all about making the holidays easier. These gift ideas can be ordered in minutes and under your tree in a few days! Some can be personalized with photos or colors and others come as is, to make gift giving super simple.
Some of our favorite colors and styles are throwbacks to another era. When in doubt, borrow a classic trend to add touches of class to your world. A vintage look is always modern and always perfectly at home, even in a Christmas card.
Each holiday season, my family and I always get excited about having all of our friends and family over for celebrations of togetherness and giving thanks. There is always plenty of cleaning and organizing to be done to get the house ready before family arrives. However, this year I also wanted to update some of our family photo’s hanging on the wall.
This season screams for a dash of glamour, so we had to incorporate gold accents in our 2015 holiday card collection. Dressed up or down, the classic metallic adds warmth and instant sophistication to any look.
What can you do with our fabulously tiny mini ornaments? That depends on how you personalize them. Only 1.25-inches in diameter, our mini ornaments come in sets of six, some with personalization options (like photos, colors and text) and some without. Here are three fun ways to use them.
Decorate a mini tree Create a theme with your own photos, or use our pre-personalized mini ornament designs. Perfect for an office, tabletop holiday display or centerpiece!
We’re excited to introduce our new, easy-to-fold canvas that you can personalize with a photo and hang on your wall in minutes! The canvas arrives flat, and you fold it yourself. In just a minute or two it’s ready to hang. Watch this video to see just how easy it is!
Unlike traditional canvas that is stretched around wood frames, our folding canvas is much more affordable, and you don’t have to commit to keeping it on your wall forever. When you want to change out your artwork for something new, our canvas unfolds and stores flat for easy archiving.
Who would have thought a material made in pre-historic times would become one of our favorite 2015 design trends? But to our surprise, we’ve seen copper pop-up in many homes and products. The best part about copper is that it can add that perfect accent to any style of room – from rustic to modern. “It’s modern and warm yet has more of a casual feel than gold,” says Angela, our director of product development.
One product we’ve spotted and just can’t get enough of is this Penelope Accent Table from Crate & Barrel. We love the simple design, and its warm copper glow adds an interesting contrast to any room.
College students everywhere are getting ready to head off to school and looking for dorm room ideas that will make them feel at home in their new space. Even if they’re not into decorating, students are happier when their rooms feel warm and welcoming. And while there’s not much you can do to dress up cement block walls and linoleum floors, here are some of our favorite ways to personalize a dorm room.
A cozy rug. There’s nothing worse than a cold floor on a winter morning. A plush area rug is an inexpensive way to add warmth and is one dorm room idea you don’t want to be without.

Splish splash! We’re raving over this poppy-bright 2015 design trend. It’s watercolor – in bright colors. We’ve spotted it EVERYWHERE. It’s on clothing, home decor, accessories, and DIY projects. Angela, our Director of Product Design, said, “We are even taking this 2015 design trend and incorporating it into our cards. Currently, our product team is working on Christmas cards (yes, Christmas cards!) and it is our job to keep our designs up to date so when it comes time for you to share your greetings, you will be a trendsetter.”
Why do we love this design trend? It’s perfect for the summer. This time of year, it’s all about beaches, pools and lakes—refreshing drinks, cool breezes, and summer vacations making memories out on the water. Taking those splashes and combining them with bright colors makes this trend a summer-time favorite.
