Pear Tree was the fourth card company I tried to use for my 2023 Christmas cards, and the only one that didn’t trim my artwork unevenly around the sides. I was using my own design that had a wide red border; in each of the other companies’s previews the border would completely disappear on the top or bottom and be thicker on one side than the other. When I asked for exact dimensions I needed to add to the border to allow for a bleed, they all gave me different fractions of an inch for the top and the bottom. And it took multiple frustrating and repetitive chat sessions just to reach that point. Each time, I’d request assistance from someone more technical who understands bleeds. Never was sure if they were real people, but none could fix the problem. One of them concluded that I needed to use a different photo. Pear Tree customer service was great. For a bleed I just had to add a quarter of an inch all the way around. I spoke to a real person about my concerns based on my other experiences and he advised me to use the box on the order page to leave instructions to the printer. The day after my purchase I realized I hadn’t requested a proof. I called customer service, spoke with a real person, and he emailed me the proof while I was on the phone. Wow! And three days later I received the cards. Double wow! Best of all, they’re gorgeous. Vibrant colors, sharp photos on smooth heavy-weight stock. I couldn’t be happier.

I have ordered the 5 x 7 DIY card from Pear Tree numerous times and am always impressed with the quality of the paper, printing and overall process. I uploaded a design I purchased from Etsy and was able to adjust and submit my card quickly and easily.

I uploaded my own design for my dad's retirement party and they turned out perfectly! The colors were nice and vibrant too. I upgraded to the Silk stock and it gave the photo a nice sheen without being too glossy. I also did the envelope addressing which made these quick and easy to seal and send.

Initially when shopping for graduation announcements, I was chatting with customer support because my account was acting bizarre. When logging in, I noticed my draft project wasn't there, but a project was there that wasn't mine. Very odd. It was a grad announcement for another family, names on there, locations--just not mine. Very odd. They didn't know what happened and the next time I logged on it was gone and mine was back. My daughter designed her own announcement, so we did the DIY. We ordered 80 and about 5 of them had random black spots in the print in different locations. So I assume it was an issue with their printing system, but it's a bit frustrating to truly get 75 when ordering 80. Not a huge deal, just sharing my experience.

The card turned out great - I was appreciative of how quickly customer service worked to get another card printed after the back design was printed upside down.
