1. Photo Time! Get your guests to share the excitement by having your photographer take photos of the bride and groom with each table. Our DJ made it into a fun game that we had to get photos with all the tables within one song. It was so great to see photos from ALL the guests that attended. Tip: we printed off the photos and we included it with our thank you notes. So the guests had a copy with the bride & groom!
2. Wedding Party App. Typically your photographers don’t stay for the entire wedding, so have your guests be your photographers! Nearly everyone is now up to date with smart phones so download an app that can have guests upload their pictures to it. We did the Wedding Party App. At each table we had an I Spy game with a list of ideas to take photos of. It was lots of fun seeing the photos the next day and you wouldn’t believe the photos people captured! Tip: we did two different lists so we’d have a variety of photos!
3. Memorable Napkins. This was one of my fave ideas! We personalized the Color Block Text Set of Three Wedding Napkins and shared a little about ourselves with our guests. On one napkin, I talked about my most memorable date Scott and I went on (kayaking), Scott shared his favorite date (our first baseball game together), and on the third napkin we listed out our top 10 moments from our engagement weekend. It was a fun way for our guests to get to know a little more about us as a couple and it was great to have friends and family come up to us with the napkin and share something they didn’t know about us.
The wedding day was truly memorable and these added touches made it unforgettable with lots of photos and memories we will always have. They didn’t take long to do and personalized our wedding in a way that people still talk to us about! Do you have wedding ideas you’d like to share with us? Please comment below!
