Graduation party ideas
Your teen’s graduation is an exciting milestone, not only for the grad but for the whole family, marking their move into a new stage in life. Make the most of the moment with a graduation party filled with personality to match your grad’s. We used our Gold Sequin-Look Trifold Graduation Announcement as the theme for this graduation party, which inspired all of these graduation party ideas from the invitations to the decorations to the menu. Most of the products you see came from Pear Tree GreetingsTarget or a local grocer.

We started with our graduation announcement for inspiration. We bought gold sequins, similar to the invite, and sprinkled them on the tables. (Sequins can be found at a craft store or online.) We also used the colors pink, gold and black to carry the theme throughout all the decorations.

We created a fun treat table where guests could enjoy cupcakes, pink lemonade, candies and sign the guest book print. Notice all the the pink, gold and black colors.

While personalizing the sequin-look graduation announcements, we added a matching Gold Sequin-Look Grad Banner to the order. No personalization necessary on this piece! We also bought these shining gold balloons at the local party store to enhance the gold sequin theme.

For the table setup, we made Country Time pink lemonade and put it in mason jars for guests to enjoy. We used paper straws from Target and added matching Gold Sequin-Look Cupcake Flags that can be personalized to your liking. To add a little bit of gold text, we also ordered Gold Sprinkles Cupcake Flags. It was a fun way to spruce up the drinks.

One of our favorite new graduation party ideas was our Sequin-Look Guest Book Print, which guests can sign with their names or a message of support for the graduate. This idea is such a nice memento for the graduate to keep after the party.

For the treats, we bought cupcakes from the local grocer. You will want to place this order ahead of time and have a count for how many people will be attending the graduation party. We also found several different kinds of candies at Candy Warehouse to continue the gold, pink and black theme, as well as kettle corn from the grocery store. We put the treats in different sized mason jars for a little variety. You can find mason jars at Target or any grocery or hardware store.

A big part of any grad party is coming up with ways to display photos of the grad, and Pear Tree has tons of ways to incorporate photos. For this party, we used one set of matching Gold Sequin-Look Table Decor to sprinkle on the table and use throughout the party. We also personalized Grad Sequin-Look Strands Graduation Napkins and used Gold Sequin-Look Personalized Stickers to close the treat bags filled with kettle corn for the guests to take home. You’ll find lots more graduation photo display ideas, including custom posters, at Pear Tree and on our blog!

Lastly, we left out comment cards to encourage guests to leave a little note behind for the graduate to read after the party. The Good as Gold Comment Cards worked perfectly with this gold theme.
