When Is My Credit Card Charged?
When you place an order using a credit card, you may see a temporary authorization (holding fee) on your account. This is a standard process used to verify that funds are available.
What Is a Holding Fee?
The authorization hold is not an actual charge. It simply reserves the order amount on your card to confirm payment can be completed.
When Am I Actually Charged?
Your credit card is not charged at the time you place your order. The final charge is only processed once your order has printed and shipped.
What Happens to the Authorization Hold?
- The hold may appear as a pending transaction on your account
- Once your order ships and the final charge is processed, the hold will be replaced or released
- The timing for the hold to drop off may vary depending on your bank or card provider
