How Foil Options Work in Product Editor
Foil products do not all behave the same way. Some products let you change the foil color on eligible foil areas, while others include foil as a predefined part of the design.
Two common foil experiences
- Editable foil options: Some products show a foil control or foil color choices for supported elements.
- Predefined foil design: Some products include foil styling that is already built into the artwork and cannot be changed directly.
How to work with foil products
- Select the product side you want to review.
- If the product supports foil changes, look for the foil control shown on that design.
- Review each side carefully so you know which foil areas are editable and which are not.
- If Product Editor shows a message that a section is not customizable, treat that area as fixed artwork.
Helpful tip
If you are unsure whether a foil area is editable, click the side or section you want to change and look for a control before rebuilding other parts of the design around it.
